The sun once shone so bright
Yet now it’s cast in shade
A world once filled with warmth
Now cloaked in dark parade.

In shadows deep and wide
I walk a path unknown
The echoes of your laughter
Are now a silent stone.

Yet in this void, a glimmer
A memory, soft and sweet
Of days we spent together
When life was whole, complete.

Though shadows stretch before me
And tears like rivers run
